Dexter realizes that he needs a nanny. Deb jumps in and offers to help with the interviews. She interrogates all the prospective nannies as if they were murder suspects. They decide on a British woman named Sonya. Dexter thinks she is perfect for the job.

For Harrison's benefit, Dexter decides to go to counseling. The doctor says that Harrison is too young to remember Rita's murder. The doctor tells him to do something for himself, so he decides to befriend Boyd Fowler, the dead animal protector. Dexter tells Boyd his name is Darrel Tucker. He decides on a killing place for Boyd – an old tourist center. Harry criticizes Dexter's decision to kill in the daytime.

Dexter calls in a dead animal near the center. Once Boyd arrives, Dexter injects him with something to knock him out. But then Boyd shoots Harry with a tranquilizer gun. They both end up at the hospital and both lie and say that everything was an accident. After they are released, Dexter follows Boyd to his home, where he kills him. Unfortunately for Dexter, the lady that Boyd was going to kill witnessed the murder.

Quinn is coming onto Deb really strong, but she is not receptive at all. Quinn calls the FBI to question Dexter. The agent begs him to tell where Arthur Mitchell lives. Deb is assigned to work with Sergeant Lopez. Lopez seems to have a problem with Deb. The two of them patrol a neighborhood where a woman's head was found. They get information from a man, who ends up getting beheaded.

Batista gets into a fight in a bar. Laguerta is not happy to find out that the fight was because she makes more money than most of the men in their department. The man that Batista beat up is bleeding internally, and he decides to press charges against Bautista.
