Dexter is saddled with an unwanted conspirator; Dexter worries about how Rita's death will affect Harrison; Deb works alone; Quinn enlists an old friend's help.

Dexter takes Harrison to a parenting baby class. Dexter notices Harrison smiling at a baby with a scratch on his cheek. Dexter is worried that Harrison has a dark side. Lumen is preoccupied with finding the men that have hurt her in the past. She gets to Boyd's house before Dexter and finds a letter from his old cellmate, Robert Brunner. She is convinced that he is one of her attackers. Dexter tries to convince her to let everything go and to return to Minneapolis. Dexter is feeling an urge to kill, and wants to kill Robert himself.

Dexter discovers that Robert is living under the Tuttle Bridge with a group of homeless sex offenders. Dexter eavesdrops on Robert telling stories of raping women and injects him with a poison and takes him to a room. He sees an ankle monitor on Robert and realizes that he could not have been to Boyd's. He screams at Harry saying that he was ready for the kill, and that he has an uncontrollable urge to kill somebody. Lumen also heads to the Tuttle Bridge to find Robert. She finds him and is about to shoot him just before Dexter takes her to the side and tells her that it was not Robert. She breaks down when she realizes she almost killed an innocent man.

Deb is after the Fuentes Brothers. Jandro was able to tell her about a tattoo of an eye one of the brother's has on his hand. Deb and Musaka go to a tattoo parlor and ask about this tattoo. Deb and Cira find two rotting corpses. Cira is very disturbed by this. Deb later discovers that the tattoo was a stamp for a night club where the brother's must hang out. Deb continues to sleep with Quinn. Bautista thinks that Laguerta is having an affair when she is actually working under cover to get his charges dropped.

Dexter goes to talk to Sonja who reassures him that Harrison is a good baby. Dexter convinces this to the other mothers in the class, and then Harrison scratches Dexter. Dexter takes Lumen to the airport, who has a panic attack while going through security and runs back in to the streets of Miami and hails down a cab.
