Everett and the crew continue their efforts to save Destiny while holding off the Lucian Alliance invaders.
After the secret of the Stargate's ninth chevron is discovered, a team of explorers from Earth travels to the unmanned starship Destiny, which was launched by the Ancients hundreds of millenia ago as an experiment. The new crew, not able to control the Destiny's navigation, is forced to complete its original mission. They travel far out into the universe, encountering new races and enemies.

Some Summary of Stargate Universe
Stargate Universe Season 1 concluded with several bombshell cliffhangers. Although the Lucian Alliance made an uneasy bartering agreement with Colonel Young (Louis Ferreira) and the Destiny crew, problems with the Destiny and all-around deceit from both factions landed several potential casualties going into SGU Season 2.
1st Lt. Tamara Johansen (Alaina Huffman) had been shot, presumably her baby will die. Why? Huffman's on-camera pregnancy was actually the result of her real-life pregnancy. So now that she is a proud mother in real life, the writers may let go of the whole Young-Johansen baby arc. In general, babies complicate TV story arcs - especially those stories that aren't essentially family dramas.
Scott (Brian J. Smith) and Greer (Jamil Walker Smith) are stuck outside of the Destiny. Locked off from their original re-entry point, the two only have a few seconds to run (in zero gravity space) to the other end of the ship to get into the secondary entrance. Needless to say, both of these soldiers will make it back inside, despite the clutch situation.
It was revealed that Col. David Telford (Lou Diamond Phillips) was working with Rush to take down the Lucian Alliance from within. Commander Kiva (Rhona Mitra) walked in on Telford's betrayal, resulting in the two veterans shooting each other. The Lucian Alliance thinks a spy did it, believing Telford to be absolutely loyal to the cause. If Kiva wakes up, Telford will be one of the most untrustworthy people in space. If she dies, then the truth dies with her - at least until the Destiny is reclaimed.
As for Rush (Robert Carlyle) and Camile Wray (Ming-Na), expect the two to continue their struggle to become the head honcho on Destiny, while Eli (David Blue) and Chloe (Elyse Levesque) continue to struggle between which side is the right side to be on.
Stargate Universe is returning on Tuesday, September 28th at 9/8c, as control of the Destiny hangs in the balance and the battle continues between the crew and the Lucian Alliance.
