The team is called in to investigate the murder of a man and the kidnapping of his wife. The wife has no memory of the events, but Dr. Bergman links the current case to several unsolved murders.

Kono Kalakaua is Kelly's cousin and a rookie officer, fresh from the academy. McGarrett's team is given full backing from the governor and plays by their own rules.
