Quinn is excited that Clay is finally released from the hospital. Nathan was struggling to break the news to Clay that he is going to be retiring from basketball because his back is not getting any better. He was worried about how Clay was going to react. When he finally did, Clay took the news better than expected, but he was worried about how Nathan was coping with the news. Brooke has decided to sell her clothing company despite her mother's disapproval. Mouth remains in his funk. Nathan gives Mouth a pep talk to get him out and moving. Hailey continues to work at the crisis hotline center and is also focusing on her family and baby number two.

Brooke goes to visit her mother in jail, who is furious at Brooke for selling her company and tells her it is the wrong decision. Brooke is devastated. Julian helps her out and tells her she needs to do what's right for her and to go confront her mother. Brooke goes back to the hospital and sets things straight with her mother; telling her what she is doing is the fair and right decision. Later at a press conference, Brooke announces her decision. Her mother watches from jail.

Quinn and Clay return to their beach house for their first time since the incident. They are scared for what they are going to see. Quinn assures Clay that everything is going to be okay. Quinn lies awake at night, afraid to sleep. Nathan holds a press conference to announce her retirement. He says that he is fine with his decision and that he is excited for the future. He did not take any questions at the end of the conference, but instead he has an interview on Mouth's website. This was done to help boost Mouth's career.
